I love Doctor Who
And I really like to knit
So I decided to make the scarf
To go with my outfit

The first thing to chose was
Which version to do
And since I’m vegan
To use cotton or bamboo

My first setback came when
I tried to order online
I needed 15 skeins
but they only carried 9

Oh, I’m gonna have to choose

My next order of business
Was to drive around town
But I only hit two yarn shops
Before my car broke down

So I sprang for a taxi
And I paid the fare
But the next shop on my list was closed
And it filled me with despair

Finally got all 7 colors
And headed back to my house
But by then, it was mealtime
Had to cook dinner for my spouse

I have knitted six feet
Gotta knit six feet more
Cause now when I wear the scarf
It doesn't touch the floor

I was knitting another row

I’m keeping track of so many colors
That maybe I’ll combust
Don’t know why I didn’t pick the scarf
That’s just purple, wine, and rust
